Kindai Digital Library

Requires the installation of a free downloadable viewer to manipulate images and to print.
Can be searched by keyword and subject. It presently includes 35,000 titles, and is updated annually; the plan is to include all books published in the Meiji era (1868-1912) in Japan held in the National Diet Library, once they have obtained copyright clearance. At the moment, there are about 63,000 titles yet to be resolved.
