Attention: Last Day for ILL Requests (Book Loan only) for GIF, 1/19/18

Dear GIF Project Participating Libraries:

I would like to alert you that January 19 (Japan time) will be the last day for GIF participating libraries to be able to submit ILL book loan requests using GIF. Exact time limit for North American libraries to submit ILL requests to Japanese libraries is listed below for your convenience:

EST:               10 a. m. on January 19, 2018

CST:               8 a. m. on January 19, 2018

PST:               7 a. m. on January 19, 2018

Hawaii:           5 a. m. on January 19, 2018

My understanding is that any requests submitted after the specified time above will not be accepted by NACSIS-ILL system. 

For any future ILL needs to Japanese GIF member libraries, please make use of the updated GIF member directory page at: http://guides.nccjapan.org/illdd/giflist_jp  and http://guides.nccjapan.org/illdd/giflist_jp2. In “Post-GIF” column in the list, you can find libraries that will possibly fulfil your ILL and copy requests after GIF Project ends in March (Please contact potential lending library directly for any specific instructions).

And again, below please find important future dates for the GIF service (all dates given below are based on the Japan time): 

February 28, 2018:     Last day for accepting article copy requests

March 25, 2018:         Last day for updating ILL/copy transaction records

April 30, 2018:           All payment transactions must be completed manually by this date
