About the Library:

The Library of Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS) holds more than 170,000 books, consisting of 161,890 (135,365 in Western languages, 26,504 in Japanese Chinese and Korean).   The library has 1,295 periodical titles and about 150,000 items on microform. Established in 1983, the library has acquired information materials in Southeast Asian languages (Thai, Indonesian, Malay, Vietnamese, Burmese and Filipino Languages, etc).

  • Japanese languages (including Korean, Chinese): 29,162 volumes
  • Western languages: 157,804 volumes
  • South・Southeast Asian languages: 72,167 volumes

• Periodicals: 4,899 titles.s

  • Western languages: 3,903 titles

• Microform: 150,000 items
