About the Library:
As of 2008, The institute's library holds 556,014 information materials (147,462 in Japanese, 326,818 in Chinese, and 81,734 in Western languages). In addition, the library holds 6,212 periodical titles (2,509 in Japanese, 2,774 in Chinese, 122 in Korean and 807 in Western languages).
The Japanese collection includes books on the Meiji Restoration, and Japanese society and labor during World War II. The Chinese collection is mainly composed of monographs. The Western books collection consists largely of French literature from the 18th-19th centuries.
