About the Library:

The Law Library was founded in 1899 with the Kyoto College. The library holds 660,910 books and 2,810 periodical titles (1,308 in Japanese, 1,502 in Western languages as of 2008). The library holds materials on law, political science, and Japanese and foreign legislation.

Contains over 2 million digital images of rare collections, and catalogs of the Meiji Restoration, Fujikawa collection, Zokyo Shoin, Tanimura, Konoe collection and more. Includes Konjaku monogatari-shu (Suzuka Ed.), designated as a national treasure, and 83 important cultural properties.

Please ask home institution library to fill out the "request for holding verification form" (所蔵調査依頼用紙 Shozōchōsa iraiyōshi ).
