About the Library:

The Graduate School of Economics / Faculty of Economics library holds 734,560 books11,934 back numbered periodicals and 1,163 continuing periodicals.

The Graduate School of Economics reference room holds corporate, labor and governmental administration related materials, including ancient related documents. The reference room is located on the Economic Research Annex  (経済学研究科学術交流棟), the third floor of Kojima (小島) Hall.

  • Old coins and currency: Hansatsu (藩札), script issued by feudal domains of Japan during the Edo period.

Using the Library

Prior to the Visit: Advance Inquiry and Preparation Required
  • Please verify the desired material is available by using UT OPAC.
  • Letter of Introduction (紹介状 Shōkaijō) from your home institution library. Please use the following form if the home institution does not have one:
    • A letter of Introduction (Word,  PDF)
  • Please notify the library at least a day in advance by sending the following information by mail, e-mail or FAX:
    • Requested material 
    • Call number(s)
    • Your Name
    • Affiliation 
    • Phone number
    • Desired visiting date(s)

Upon Arrival:

  • Please present the above information and some form of personal ID at the circulation desk.

Photocopy:

  • Please read to "Usage of the main library".
