The workshop series is presented by Japanese Studies Librarians from Plains to Pacific Alliance (PPA), in cooperation with NCC.
An Introductory Session was offered twice fall 2021 for researchers who are new to JapanKnowledge. You can find a video recording of the presentation as well as the presentation slides used for the session in this page.
An Advanced session was offered on Oct. 21st, 2021 for those who want to learn more in-depth about database collections and their applications in scholarship.

The instructor for the presentation is Adam Lisbon, who is a Japanese & Korean Studies Librarian/Associate Professor of the University of Colorado at Boulder.
These are picked up articles from digital archives of The Oriental Economist (English Edition), which was introduced by the presenters of Tōyō Keizai Shinpōsha in the Advanced Session.
JapanKnowledge is a reference/e-book database that covers a wide variety of content and has been one of the most useful databases for Japanese Studies. Many university libraries in North America already subscribe.
