About Meiji University:
Meiji University (明治大学 Meiji daigaku) is a private university located in Tokyo and Kawasaki. The university was founded in 1881 by 3 lawyers: Kishimoto Tatsuo, Miyagi Kōzō, and Yashiro Misao. Today, Meiji University is one of the largest and most prestigious universities in Japan.
Meiji Law School is considered one of the top Japanese law schools (6th in the number of graduates successfully passing the bar exam in 2009–2010). It is also one of the strongest departments in the university, ranking 6th cumulatively for the number of alumni qualified as lawyers and prosecutors since World War II. In addition, Eduniversal ranked Meiji as 4th in the rankings of "Excellent Business Schools" in Japan, describing it as "nationally strong and with continental links."
The University has 9 faculties, 10 graduate programs and its law school, on four campuses: Ochanomizu, Surugadai, Izumi and Ikuta.
