NCC has two different kinds of meetings each year. An Open Meeting is held in conjunction with the Association of Asian Studies (AAS) Conference each year in March. This meeting is open to anyone interested in hearing about NCC's work in the previous year and its plans for the future. Closed Council meetings are also held each year for Council Members only. Currently one Council meeting is held each year, with the location rotating around the country.

2017 - No Open Meeting due to Digital Scholarship Conference
2018 Open Meeting (celebrated as 25th Anniversary) - Washington D.C.
2019 Open Meeting - Denver, CO
2020 Open Meeting (online format due to coronavirus pandemic)
2021 Open Meeting (online format due to coronavirus pandemic)
