About the Museum:

The art museum section of Seikado Bunko was opened 1992 in commemoration of hundredth anniversary of the instituion. The museum houses about 6,500 items including swords, tea ceremony utensils, Chinese and Japanese paintings, calligraphy, pottery, lacquerware, paper and brushes, and wood carvings.

Collection size: 6,500 items

The museum includes a well selected collection of Chinese pottery and porcelain from the Han through Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing period, which were donated by Baron Koyata.

Note: The Guide uses the ALA/LC standard romanization, however, it also reflects different romanization system used by an individual institution.
