Notable Collection(s):

  • 瀧川文庫 Takigawa Collection: German law periodicals and other foreign and domestic information materials from the former library of Dr. Yukitoki Takigawa 瀧川幸辰 (about 12,000 items, no copy is allowed).

Note: The Guide uses the ALA/LC standard romanization, however, it also reflects different romanization system used by an individual institution.

Using the Library

Prior to the Visit: Preparation Required

  • Please verify the desired material is available by using Nagoya University Library OPAC.
  • Letter of Introduction (紹介状 Shōkaijō) from the home institution library (please use the following form if the home institution does not have one): (Word,  PDF)
  • Please fill out the library materials request Form (閲覧申請書 Etsuran shinseisho) for visiting researchers who do not have home institutes.(Word,  PDF)

Upon Arrival:

  • Please present some form of personal ID.

Floor Plans:

  • The floor map is available in PDF form " Hōgakubu furoa mappu (法学図書室フロアマップ)" on their webpage.

Photocopy:

  • Please ask the library staff.

Accessing Rare Materials

Service Hours:
  • Hours: 9:00-12:00, 13:00-17:00
  • Closed: Saturday, Sunday, National Holidays.
