About the Library:

The Library of Informatics and Languages is located at Higashiyama Campus. The library holds materials in a variety of academic fields, including the Information Science, Humanities, and Social Sciences.

The Library of Informatics currently holds about 17,000 monographs and 2,870 periodical titles.

Collection Size  (as of March 2018)

• Books: 171,663 volumes

Focus: Information Science, Humanities, Social Sciences

Note: The Guide uses the ALA/LC standard romanization, however, it also reflects different romanization system used by an individual institution.

Using the Library

Prior to the Visit:

• Please verify the desired material is available by using Nagoya University Library OPAC.

• Please contact the library in advance for viewing the following materials:

• Material with the Kenkyūshitsu haika 研究室配架 status in the OPAC

• Please tell them the 8 digits ID number (8 digits followed by ZY, ZW, WS, YS for magazines) of the needed material.

Upon Arrival:

• Please present some form of personal ID.

Photocopy:

• Photocopy services are provided in accordance with Japanese copyright laws.

• Please purchase pre-paid copy card at the university co-op (cost: 500 yen, 1,000 yen).
