How to Use the Facility

Using the library

Before Entering the Library:
  • No coats or bags are allowed in the library.
  • Except valuable articles and writing materials, please put personal belongs in a coin operated locker, provided.
  • Please deposit 100 yen to the coin operated locker. The deposited money will be returned after use.
  • Please leave umbrellas in the umbrella stand.
  • No food or drinks are allowed in the library.
Upon Arrival:
  • Please receive a Library User Tag (閲覧証 Etsuranshō). Please return the tag when leaving.
  • Please fill out the form at the counter.
  • Please do not use cellphones in the library.
  • The library materials are for library only.
  • For closed stack materials, please fill out a request form for viewing materials (図書閲覧申請書 Tosho etsuran shinseisho) including title of the book or magazine (書名 Shomei、誌名 Shimei), call number (請求番号 Seikyū bangō), etc.
  • Up to 5 items may be taken from the closed stack at a time. Please return materials before asking for additional items.
Photocopy:
  • Service Hours: 10:30-16:30
  • Photocopy services are provided in accordance with Japanese copyright laws.
  • Copy Fee:
    • Black: 30 yen
    • Color: 100 yen
  • Size: A4, B4, A3
  • Please fill out the request form (複写申請書 Fukusha shinseisho)
  • Please insert the library's bookmarks both at the beginning and the end of pages intended to be copied and bring it to the counter.
  • After checked by the staff, users may make self copies.
  • Receipt will come out after finishing copying.
  • Up to 5 items and 50 copies are allowed.
  • Only library materials possessed by the library can be copied.
  • Newly arrival periodicals cannot be copied.
  • Only one copy per user is allowed.
  • The staff will copy valuable books or materials that may be in poor condition.
  • Refunds will not be made for copies made by mistake.
