Yokohama National University: CESSA Statistics Division Library

About the Library:

Center for Economic and Social Studies in Asia (CESSA) Statistics Division Library holds library materials related to the field of Economics. They include: academic journals, bulletins, annual report, statistics, white papers and journals on international trade.  In addition, the CESSA holds Yokohama Koushou Shiryou (横浜高商資料), library materials related to the economy and industries of Japan and its colonized countries in the early Showa period.

About the Facility:

Center for Economic and Social Studies in Asia (CESSA), Department of Economics was founded in April 2012, with the financial support of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. The purpose of CESSA is to improve the quality of research and education at at Yokohama National University (YNU)  and to research in the field of economic and social studies in Asia and publish the findings; CESSA plays a central role in joint research projects at the Department of Economics.

Notable Collection(s) 

• Yokohama Kosho Shiryo (横浜高商資料): Monographs, maps and newspaper clips from the Pre-War II time collected by Yokahama College of Commerce, predecessor of YNU, which has preserved and presented to the public by Center for International Trade Studies (today's CESSA).
