Keio University: Shonan Fujisawa Media Center

About the Library:

Founded in 1990, the Media Center supports study, education, and research activities at SFC.

The Shonan Fujisawa Media Center holds more than 280,000 books, 3,100 journal titles and 4,400 audiovisual resources. In addition the library provides access to more than 50,000 e-journals and e-books.  The library focuses on collecting library materials related to in the field of information science, social science, natural science, foreign languages.

Collection Size (As of 2015 ):

• ​Books:volumes 283,350 volumes
  • Japanese books: 209,731 volumes 
  • Non Japanese books: 73,619 volumes
• Periodicals:titles
  • Japanese:  2,015 titles
  • Non Japanese: 1,136 titles
• E-books: 347,358 titles
• E-journals: 112,642 titles

Note: The Guide uses the ALA/LC standard romanization, however, it also reflects different romanization system used by an individual institution.

Using the Library

Prior to the Visit:

• Letter of Introduction (紹介状 Shōkaijō) from your home institution library. Please use the following form if the home institution does not have one:
  • A letter of Introduction (Word,  PDF)
