About the Library:

The Meiji Gakuin University Library mainly consists of two libraries.  The Shirogane Campus Library, originally built in 1925, is located on 7 floors and 2 basement level buildings. The Yokohama campus library opened in 1986, used by first and second year students, students of International Studies, and its Graduate programs.

Notable Collection(s):

• Meji Galkuin University Collections are especially strong in materials related to Christian Missionaries in Japan, and English and Japanese language education.

• A Bible translated into Japanese will soon be available on the University's digital archive.  Notable people involved in this translation included S.R. Brown as the chair of committee for the new testament., and J.C. Hepburn as the chair of committee for the old testament.
