About the Museum:
The Okinawa Prefectural Peace Memorial Museum was opened on April, 2000. The Museum is located at Okinawa Peace Memorial Park, Itoman city.
The Museum exhibits a variety of images from the Battle of Okinawa as well as history of Okinawa up to the World War II and the postwar period in which Okinawa was transformed under U.S. military occupation called “Keystone of the Pacific.”
