Overview

About National Museum of  Nature and Science:

Opened in 1871, the National Museum of Nature and Science (国立科学博物館 Kokuritsu Kagaku Hakubutsukan) is nation's largest science museum which covers everything from the evolution of life to Japanese inventions and technology, in expansive, imaginative displays, with plenty of exhibits geared toward children.

After its renovation in the 1990s and 2000s, the museum currently offers a wide variety of natural history exhibitions, pre-Meiji science and interactive scientific experiences.
