About the Library of Education:

The Library of Education collects and organizes books and magazines related to the field of education.  The Library holds books and periodicals related to educational policy in both Japanese and Western languages, it also has a major collection of textbooks, as well as university bulletins, library materials related to the local educational policies, and educational policy materials after the World War II.  The library serves researchers, university faculty staff, students and others.

Using the Library

Materials are to be used only in the Reading Room. [or]  non-affiliates are allowed only to read and copy library materials.

Prior to the Visit: Advance Inquiry and Preparation Required

  • Please verify that the desired material is available by using the Online Catalog.
  • Please contact the institution directly to request a visit and/or verify the desired material is available when you plan to visit.
  • Please fill out the material request form.
  • Please sent the form by e-mail with subject heading "来館予約申込書" at least 2 days to one week before you plan to visit.

Upon Arrival:

  • Up to 10 items may be requested per inquiry 
  • Please follow the staff's instructions at the entrance gate

Photocopy:

  • Photocopy services are provided in accordance with Japanese copyright laws
