About Central Library:

The Central Library was found in 1949 when Nagasaki University was chartered.  In April 2013, the Central Library was re-opened its door after a year of renovation.  The new library added the learning commons area and an improved lounge with the snack area.  The library is located in the Bunkyo campus

How to Use the Facility

Using the Library

Prior to the Visit:

  • Please make sure that material(s) are available by checking the OPAC.

Upon Arrival:

  • Please fill out the request form, Nagasaki daigaku fuzoku toshokan riyō tōroku shinseisho (長崎大学附属図書館利用登録申請書) and submit it at the counter.


  • Photocopy services are provided in accordance with Japanese copyright laws.

    • Black:10 yen

Accessing Rare Materials

  • Please fill out Riyō kyokanegai (利用許可願)
  • Please state the purpose of using materials such as research thesis and attach it with the form.
