Archaeological Institute of Kashihara, Nara Prefecture: Library (書庫)

About the Library:

Kashikōken has been collecting reading materials since 1970. The materials includes excavation reports from all over the nation, theses and other materials from academic society in the field.

Note: The Guide uses the ALA/LC standard romanization, however, it also reflects a different romanization system used by an individual institution or collection.

Using the Library

Open to the public (age 18 and older).

Upon Arrival:

• At the entrance, please write down your name on the admission signsheet (受付簿 Uketsukebo) and take the sheet number tag, (席番号札Sekibangōsatsu ) at the general administration window (総務課窓口 Sōmuka madoguchi ) on the right.

• Please proceed to the library on the second floor.

• At the reading room, please  fill out your name and address on the library materials request form  (図書閲覧申込書 Tosho etsuran mōshikomisho) and wear the reading room badge (閲覧証 Etsuranshō ) on your chest

• Please leave belongings in the locker provided.

• Reading Only, please fill out the rest of the library materials request form and submit it to the library staff.

• Please request reading materials from library staff.

• Up to three items per request are allowed.

• Please make sure to return the reading room badge and the sheet number tag before you leave.
