About the museum:

Kansai University Museum (KUM) was opened in 1994.  The museum holds about 30,000 items which are related to the archeology, history, folklore, arts and crafts, and natural science fields. The collection include items donated by Hikoichi Motoyama., the former Osaka Mainichi Newspaper President. The permanent exhibit consists of 700 items including 16 important cultural property items.  The museum is used for academic research and classes related to archeology and history studies.as well as providing archaeological training to students
