How to Use the Facility

Using the Library and Archives

Library and Archives are open on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1pm-4pm by appointment only, last appointment begins at 3pm. Closed for the month of August.

Prior to the Visit:

  • Please make an appointment with either the Library or Archives by using the request form (Library) or email address (Archives) listed in the information section.
  • Registration for a library account is required for all first-time visitors: Brooklyn Museum Libraries Registration (see link below)
  • Materials must be requested seven days prior to your appointment. Materials can be requested through our library catalog once registration is completed.
  • Up to ten items may be requested for each appointment.
  • You will receive an email confirming the date and time of your appointment.

Admission: Library is open and free of charge to all researchers 18 years of age and above.
