How to Use the Facility

Using the Library and Archives

Library and Archives are open on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1pm-4pm by appointment only, last appointment begins at 3pm. Closed for the month of August.

Prior to the Visit:

Please make an appointment with either the Library or Archives by using the request form (Library) or email address (Archives) listed in the information section.
Registration for a library account is required for all first-time visitors: Brooklyn Museum Libraries Registration (see link below)
Materials must be requested seven days prior to your appointment. Materials can be requested through our library catalog once registration is completed.
Up to ten items may be requested for each appointment.
You will receive an email confirming the date and time of your appointment.

Admission: Library is open and free of charge to all researchers 18 years of age and above.
