About the Museum:

The Nature and Science Museum dates back 1886 with the creation of an exhibit on decreases in silk worm production.  The facility existed under the predecessor of Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology.  There are two buildings. The main building located at the Koganei Campus exhibits information materials related to the fiber industry as well as the ukiyo-e collection related to sericulture (more than 500 items).  The annex building located at the Fuchu Campus exhibits information materials related to the modern agriculture, and chaning tools and technology.

Exhibition:

  • Koganei Campus is home of  the university Faculty of Engineering. The main building presents research activity of the faculty as well as  materials related to the fiber , mainly silk.
  • Annex building exhibits materials related the modern agriculture as well as a collection of the modern agricutural tools.
