About the Museum:
The Nature and Science Museum dates back 1886 with the creation of an exhibit on decreases in silk worm production. The facility existed under the predecessor of Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology.
About the Collection:
The Museum of Nature and Science preserves collections relating to the cultivation of silkworms for the production of silk and the textile industry. Various historical machinery is on display, as well as a collection of ukiyo-e and nishiki-e that have silkworm motifs. In addition, recent research conducted at the university is occasionally introduced at events/
