About the Library

The library was constructed in Koganei in 1961, with all the e branch libraries joining together on the Koganei campus by 1964. The present Library building was completed in 1974.

Matsuura bunko (松浦文庫): 1922, donated to Tokyo-fu Ōizumi shihan gakkō by Matsuura Shizujiro (松浦鎮次郎), Education History Compilation group (?) (教育史編纂会 Kyōikushi hensan kai ), 1470 items

Takehaya bunko (竹早文庫): 1938, bought from Japanese Culure Central Alliance (?) (日本文化中央連盟 Nihon bunka chuō renmei ) philosophy, history, literature and social science, 14,000 items

Copy machines are available at news paper reading room on the first floor, next to the steps on the second floor, and closed stack at the basement.
