About the Library:

The Niiza Library was built in 1998, when the university created the College of Tourism and the College of Community and Human Services in Niiza. The library was renovated in 2006, when the College of Contemporary Psychology was created.

The library holds about 210,000 items with 770 of periodical titles.   The library is also open to those who are 20 years or older and live or work in Niiza City.

How to Use the Facility

Using the Library 

The library is not accepting inquiries from individuals.

Prior to the Visit: Advance Inquiry and Preparation Required

  • Service is limited to using library materials that are uniquely available at the Rikkyo Library.
  • Please make sure  that desired materials are not held by the National Diet Library or public libraries.
  • Please verify the desired material is available by using Rikkyo. University OPAC.
  • Users from Rikkyo University's exchange partner institutions are given increased access privileges.  Please refer to "Exchange Partner Institutions".
  • Library materials request form (図書閲覧願 Tosho etsuran negai) from your home institution  to(参考室 Sankō shitsu ). Please use the following form if the home institution does not have one:
    • Library Materials Request Form (Word,  PDF)
  • Letter of Introduction (紹介状 Shōkaijō) from your home institution library. Please use the following form if the home institution does not have one:
    • A letter of Introduction (Word,  PDF)
Note: One letter of introduction allows a visiting researcher to use the library for one day.
 
Upon Arrival:
  • Please present a letter of introduction.

  • Please present some form of personal ID.
Note: Niza residents need to fill out a one day access request form (一日利用申込書 Ichinichi moushikomisho) to obtain a daily permit (一日利用証 Ichinichi riyōshō ) and present Personal ID, showing proof of age and residency.

Photocopy:
  • Photocopy services are provided in accordance with Japanese copyright laws.
  • Copy Fee:
    • Black: 10 yen per sheet
    • Color: 50 yen per sheet
  • Please bring small changes.
