Using the Library

Note: For the general procedures, please go to the "Guide to Kanazawa University Libraries."

          For visitors, only viewing and photocopying are allowed.

Accessing Rare Materials

Prior to the Visit:

Please ask the home institution library to do the following  

• Letter of Introduction (紹介状 ō) from your home institution library. Please use the following form if the home institution does not have one:

• A letter of Introduction (Word,  PDF)

• Please make sure the material(s) is available at the University Library by contacting:

   Central Library
   (North area, Kakuma campus)

   (Please replace # with @)

• Please be sure to state the title of materials, visiting date/ time.

• Please remember that materials that are digitized are not available for viewing.

Upon Arrival:

• Please leave belongings in the locker room, except writing tools and valuables.
• Reading Room (3rd floor) Service Hours: 9:00-16:30

Photocopy:

• No photocopy service is available, but users can take photographs. Please bring your own camera.
