About the Railway Museum:
The Railway Museum was opened in Onari, Saitama City on 14 October 2007 as the centerpiece of the JR East 20th Anniversary Memorial Project.
The museum are sparated into two sections: the history zone and the learning zone. The history zone presents the history of railway technology In the learning zone, visitors will experience to simulated train operations, which drivers of trains use for training and gain knowledge of the principles and mechanisms of railway.

Library: 34,000 volume
Notable Collection(s): Library materials related to the transportation, railway history, yearbooks and many more.
History Zone: Time line of railway history (75m) is displayed.
Model Railroad Dioramas: Total of 1400 m railway display.
Collection Gallery: A variety of items which have collected since the Taisho era (1921) including documents, tickets, blueprints, photographs, uniforms and many more.
