About Osaka Museum of History:
The Osaka Museum of History (OMH) was opened on November 3 in 2001. The museum tour begins from the ancient period at 10th floor where Daikokuden(大極殿) reproduction of Namba place (難波宮) with the vermilion-painted pillars (70cm in diameter) and mannequins wearing court dress. At the ninth floor, there are reproductions of the lively Osaka landscape from the Azuchi momoyama to the Edo period. The 8th floor is the archeology section where replica of excavation site are used for a various archeological workshops for the visitors. At the seventh floor, there are reproduction of Osaka city during the Taisho and Showa period.
