About Japan Transport and Tourism Research Institute:
The Japan Transport and Tourism Research Institute (JTTRI) was founded in 1968. Formerly known as the Institute for Transport Policy Studies in Japan (ITPS), the JTTRI is an independent, non-profit foundation established with the support from the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. The activities of the Institution include comprehensive researches and survey programs to improve the the transport and tourism industries in Japan. JTTRI also evaluates transport policy and suggests recommendations to the government and other organizations, involving transport policy issues.
