About the Archives
The Archives of the Bank of Japan was opened in 2002 as a part of the Institute for Monetary and Economic Studies, Bank of Japan.
The Archives holds and preserves historical records as an official repository of the Bank of Japan. Information resources held by the archives constitute the corporate memory of the Bank of Japan, and these records are accessible to the public for the purpose of education on the values that best describe origins, policies, interests, evolution, functions, and activities of the Bank of Japan.
