About the Library:

The IDE Library specializes in materials related to economies, politics and social issues of developing countries, including Asia, Middle East, Africa, Latin America, Oceania, and East Europe. 

The library holds 71,613 materials in Japanese, 38,082 in Chinese, 19,474 in Korean and 238,601 in other languages.  In addition, the library holds 63,423 volumes of bound journals, 141,216 volume of statistical materials, 298 volumes of newspapers, 3,492 periodical tittles, 53,618 maps, 84,386 reels of microfilm, 420 audio-visual items, and 1,365 CD-Roms / Floppy Disks.

Note: The Guide uses the ALA/LC standard romanization, however, it also reflects different romanization system used by an individual institution
