About the Skillman Library:

Found in 1963, the David Bishop Skillman Library have continued to thrive with the support from the Friends of Skillman Library, which was founded in 1964. After renovation in 2004, the library was enlarged and improved providing ample room for learning, collaboration, collections, exhibits, and technology. At Lafayette, librarians actively support research by students with an average of 150 classes in all disciplines taught each academic year. With their support Lafayette student are able to explore library materials, including treasures of Special Collections & College Archives.

East Asia Image Collection
Part of Digital Scholarship Services at Skillman Library, Lafayette College, the East Asian Image Collection is a centerpiece of the library holding thousands of images from China, Korea and Japan, especially from the Japanese colonial period. It is an important example of digital scholarship and key resource for education at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Japanese Imperial House Postcard Album
Part of the East Asia Image Colleciton.
A collection of 80 postcards primarily from Meiji, Taisho, and early Showa eras. Most likely compiled just after 1928 enthronement of the Showa Emporer.

Visitors don't require any special permission to enter Skillman Library during regular hours.
