About Kobe Planet Film Archive:

Kobe Planet Film Archive was opened on March 25, 2007 in Kobe,  the first city to show a film in Japan.  There are painted billboards, prewar and postwar cameras, and movie projectors. Their small theater (38 seats) shows a rare movie movie.

Using the Archive

Open to the Public

Archive Schedule:

  • Hours: Monday-Tuesday, Friday-Sunday: 10:30-18:00 (last admission for the Reference Room 17:30)

  • Closed: Wednesday and Thrusday

Admission: Free

Theater:

  • General Admission: 1,200 yen
  • Student, Senior, Member: 1,000 yen
  • Event: 1,000 yen

Note: 200 yen discount for the second film.  Weekdays before noon: 4,000 yen for 3hrs
