About the Parliamentary Museum:
The Parliamentary Museum was opened in1972. The museum holds documents and audio visual materials which detail the organization and management of the Japanese National Diet. The museum also collects materials related to the history of parliamentary government and statesmen with significant contributions. Finally, the museum organizes special exhibitions and lectures to educate people about the Diet.
Exhibitions:
Simulated experience of the Diet.
Mechanism of the Diet: 5 computers are available for visitors to learn inner workings of the Diet.
Learn about the collection of the museum: 6 computers are available for searching and learning about the museum collection.
Parliamentary Theater: One large screen and 3 computers are available for learning about the history of the Diet since the Meiji period as well as documents, photos and other related materials.
Note: The Guide uses the ALA/LC standard romanization, however, it also reflects different romanization system used by an individual institution.
