About Kyoto Seika University:
In 1968, Kyoto Seika University (KSU) was founded by Seiichi Okamoto, with "A Place for Expression,” the school's essential principle. The university has four faculties, Art, Design, Manga, and Humanities, and graduate programs associated with the faculties.
Since its establishment, KSU has provided a free and independent academic atmosphere. The university is especially known for its faculties of manga and anime, and for being involved in the teaching and training of future manga artists.
Furthermore, KSU co-operates the Kyoto International Manga Museum with the city of Kyoto, and use the museum collections for manga related research.
