About Institution for Transport Policy Studies:

The Institution for Transport Policy Studies (ITPS) was founded in 1968.  ITPS is an independent, non-profit foundation established with the support from the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. The activities of the Institution include comprehensive researches and survey programs to improve the transportation system in Japan. ITPS also evaluates transport policy and suggests recommendations to the government and other organizations, involving transport policy issues.
