About Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park:

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park was opened in 1954 in memory of the atomic bomb victims,  It is located in the Nakajima district, the epicenter targeted in the nuclear attack.  There are a number of monuments such as the cenotaph for the atomic-bomb victims, the Peace Bell, the Peace Clock, Tower, and the Children's Peace Monument.

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum was opened in 1955 located at the southern end of the park. The museum presents Hiroshima before the war, during wartime, and during the atomic bomb (A-bomb) incident.  It details the overall damage to the city and its impressively quick recovery.

The museum consists of the main building and the east building.
