About Nara National Museum:

Since its opening in 1895, Nara National Museum has been collecting, preserving, researching and conducting educational programs on cultural properties, with a focus on Buddhist artwork. The facility consists of The Nara Buddhist Sculpture Hall (Original Museum Building), New East Wing, New West Wing, Buddhist Art Library, Conservation Center, Hassōan Tea house  and Original Site of East and West Pagodas of Kasuga Shrine.
