About Murasakino Campus Library:

Murasakino Campus Library 成徳常照館 was opened in April 1997.  The building consists of five stories with a two story basement.  The first floor to the fourth floor are reading and study rooms. Open Stack is located at the first basement, and the second basement for closed stack. Finally, the fifth floor is a multi-purpose hall.

How to Use the Facility

Using  the Library 

Prior to the visit:

  • Letter of Introduction (紹介状 Shōkaijō) from your home institution library. Please use the following form if the home institution does not have one:
    • A letter of Introduction (Word,  PDF)
Upon Arrival:
  • Please present the letter of Introduction
  • Please present some form of personal ID.

Accessing Rare Materials

  • Permission from the director of the library is required.
  • Please apply at least one week prior to your visit.
  • Please note that sometimes materials cannot be viewed because of the material's fragility or weather conditions.
  • Service Hours: Mon.-Fri. 9:30-16:30
  • Reading should take place in the assigned reading area near the director of the library.

Photocopy:

  • Photocopy services are provided in accordance with Japanese copyright laws.
  • Please submit the application form 申請書類 to the director of the library.
  • Digital photocopy or Microfilm only
  • Sometimes Photocopies cannot be permitted because of the condition of the materials.
  • Individuals will receive a print of the image.  Digital data or film becomes the property of the library.
  • It is prohibited to reproduce, copy, or sell images without the library's consent.
  • Photos should only be taken by contractors assigned by the library.
  • Individual must pay all expense for photography, printing and copying.
  • The following things require specific re-approval from the director of the library:
    • Publishing
    • Web publishing
    • Broadcasting
    • Exhibiting
  • If used for research articles and books, two copies must be given to the library.
