Overview

About Architectural Institute of Japan:
Architectural Institute of Japan (AIJ) was founded by Tatsuno Kingo  (辰野金吾), who was one of the first architect in Japan. 

Currently, AIJ has about 35,000 members. Its mission is to advance the science and technology of architecture through collaboration with members. AIJ sponsors roughly 600 sub-committees and working groups under 16 standing research committees.

AIJ's central office is located in Minato ward, Tokyo, and there are nine regional offices (Hokkaido, Tohoku, Kanto, Tokai, Hokuriku, Kinki, Chugoku, Shikoku, Kyushu).
